For your home practice you will need a yoga mat, blanket and cushion, a block (a few sturdy books will work too) and a little space to move around in.
Yoga with Lucia invites you to experience a connection with your deepest heart. Lucia's classes focus on breath, movement, stillness and intention. Through the practice of yoga we will build self-awareness, confidence, flexibility and support in your life. Yoga develops your sense of well-being, reducing stress and anxiety, improving sleep, focus and concentration. Yoga is the meeting of yourself with acceptance, love and kindness - exactly as you are.
These yoga classes are open to people of all ages, shapes and sizes. You do not have to have tried yoga before, you do not have to have any specific body type or yoga clothing.
What do students say about Lucia's classes?
“Yoga begins right where I am, not where I was yesterday or where I long to be.”
- Linda Sparrowe
Body, Breath, Sound, Stillness - Lets stay connected
Mantra - Om loka samasta sukino bhavantu
Poem - Woods by Noelle Oxenhandler
I wish to grow dumber,
to slip deep into woods that grow blinder
with each step I take,
until the fingers let go of their numbers
and the hands are finally ignorant as paws.
Unable to count the petals,
I will not know who loves me,
who loves me not.
Nothing to remember,
nothing to forgive,
I will stumble into the juice of the berry, the shag of bark,
I will be dense and happy as fur.
Connecting with JOY, breath, sound, stillness
Mantra - Every little Cell in my body is happy!
Om loka samasta sukino bhavantu
Poem - Day Dream - by Arthur Seymour John Tessimond
One day people will touch and talk perhaps
And loving be natural as breathing and warm as
And people will untie themselves, as string is unknotted,
Unfold and yawn and stretch and spread their fingers,
Unfurl, uncurl like seaweed returned to the sea,
And work will be simple and swift
as a seagull flying,
And play will be casual and quiet
as a seagull settling,
And the clocks will stop, and no one will wonder
or care or notice,
And people will smile without reason,
Even in winter, even in the rain.
